   I was about to hit “placed order” when I decided to call Apple to check for compatibility first. It turns out that my Macbook (2007) can only support up to 2Gb. It only takes 5 minutes to call Apple but that saves me hours of trouble.

   I bought this 2 x 2gb mac memory pack without checking first on apple.com if my macbook could take up 4gb of RAM memory, my laptop could only take 2gb because of the version… macbooks made after late 2007 can take 4gb of ram

   I ordered it and put it in to my Mac Book Pro 2.4
   
   It read it and it working.

   Memory was easy to install in my MacBook Pro. Worked perfectly. Worst part was the usual frustration of getting the memory out of the indestructible blister pack.

   This ram worked flawlessly with my iMac extreme. One needs to be very careful when selecting “Non-Apple” ram. This appears to have been made specifically for the Mac!
